Over 30 Years of Experience

As an alternative and compliment to our range of proven ceramic insulators, we have continued the development of composite insulators made of high-grade synthetic materials. These products have been noted for their reliable performance in the field up to 1100 kV since 1967. Our Insulators System RODURFLEX® consists of two components, i.e. a rod or tube made of glass fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) and a silicone elastomer housing covering the FRP rod. This design allows a separate improvement of the insulator's mechanical properties (mainly determined by the FRP component) and the electrical performance (determined largely by the silicone housing). As a result, our RODURFLEX® insulators exhibit outstanding mechanical and electrical characteristics meeting all overhead line and switchgear engineering requirements.
