CeramTec High Voltage Insulator Division specializes in ceramic and composite insulators used in electrical power transmission, electrical substation, and railway applications. The acquired operation employs 250 people and will be a wholly owned subsidiary known as LAPP Insulator GmbH & Co. KG.

The acquisition brings LAPP Insulator Company LLC highly complementary products, additional product offerings, and expands LAPP's global sales distribution channels in Europe and the Middle East. All these factors will enable LAPP to better service the needs of our customers around the world.

LAPP Insulator Company LLC is headquartered in LeRoy, NY and has manufacturing facilities both in New York and Sandersville Georgia employing about 600 people.
