LAPP HOSTS 31ST ANNUAL ENGINEERING SEMINAR
LAPP once again held its annual Engineering Seminar at The Lodge at Woodcliff in Pittsford, New York. It was a great success, attracting 35 attendees from all over the United States as well as Mexico. The event was held June 18 -21st, 2002.
It is a unique seminar in that the attendees are provided a tour of our manufacturing facilities and also are given the opportunity to meet one-on-one with LAPP personnel. Our engineering and marketing staff was available to discuss any particular problems or questions that our customers may be facing both in the field and on the job.
The venue included discussions and presentations on Porcelain Insulator Materials and Manufacturing (Gary Carnahan), Bushings Manufacturing (Chris Monoski), Non-Ceramic Insulators (Andreas Stockhausen), Transmission Insulators (Geoff Powell), Special Porcelain (Eric Smith), Bushing Repair (Charlie Caruso) and Bushing Design (Bill Young). Eric Kress, Director, Quality Assurance and Engineering for the Porcelain Division and Chung Duck Ko, Director, Bushing Engineering and Quality Assurance guided the direction of the event.
Our many thanks to all of our attendees and presenters who continue to make this tradition a success. If you missed out this time, be sure to check back with us again next year.
